I went again today to the little park with the duck pond. Remember. . . I said I should stop by more often, because my first visit left me with such a feeling of peace. Here's the view from the parking lot. Looks peaceful, doesn't it?
The pampas grass was swaying in the breeze.
You probably remember the white ducks I introduced you to, earlier. They were here, huddled together in a "corner" of the pond, because . . .
. . . the tranquility has been disturbed! Relatives from out-of-town have come for a visit! They've taken over the pond.
Their kids have taken over the yard!
They're occupying every nook and cranny of the pond. I think they've overstayed their welcome!
The city cousins dress a little flashier than the white ducks ... show-offs!
"I have a headache. Maybe if I hide my eyes for a moment, they'll all go away!"
"Nope - they're still here. Have they never heard that fish and visitors both stink after three days?!"

I got quite a chuckle with your pictures and captions!
You are a very talented lady.........genie
Hey! Good to "see" you here, Genie! Are you back home after visiting the grandkids?
I'm pretty sure those city cousins are from here. So...go ahead and tell us northerners how warm it was too!!! I guess I can take it???

Mid-70s today, Gloria :-)
Well no wonder the city cousins from the north want to stay...they probably think they found a big hot tub!
Sounds nice there..... low 50s during daytime here.

Your post reminded me about something. About a month ago, I was driving out of the neighborhood. I turned that first corner and there, crossing the street was a mama duck and her three ducklings! I had to stop for them.
I have no idea where they came from or where they were going. It was the oddest thing.
