Have You Seen My New Grandbaby?

Take a look at this little one! Baby is due in November. Chris and Kelsey are not planning to find out the gender until the baby is born. That means the nickname I choose has to be gender-neutral. I was thinking of "Sprout," or "Twig." "Twig" might be good, because I could modify it, slightly, to "Twiggy" for a girl. Any suggestions?

Anything's better than Chris' nickname for the baby. Anytime I'm feeling sick he talks about my "parasite."

You have my permission to put him in Time Out the next time he says that!

Our last name is long, very German, first three letters are Egg. Our babies in utero were: Egglet, Omelette, Benedict (I miscarried this baby, which makes the nickname seem cruel -but the nickname was already well-established), Fritatta and Foo Yong (he was due right after Chinese New Year so a Chinese-American friend of mine gave him that nickname). I wish we'd called Fritatta "Egg Nog" since she was born three days before Christmas. ;)

Hmmm, something gender neutral... My mom calls my nephew "Sugar Dumplin'" (and he gets upset when she doesn't call him that -- and he's 12!!!)

Keep those ideas coming! I'm enjoying reading them. I just remembered that Chris had a bean-bag baby doll, when he was little. It was a cute little boy doll, with a baseball cap. We called him "Baby Beans." That wouldn't be a bad nickname, would it?
