Valentine's Dinner Party

I guess it's two weeks late, but I don't want to miss out on posting about the really fun Valentine's dinner party we went to at George and Twilla's house. Twilla baked a scrumptious dish of lasagna, and the other three couples each brought something to go along with it.

After dinner we played two tables of Hearts - an appropriate card game for Valentine's Day! I played at the table with our friend Jeff, who is undeniably the Hearts champion of the Salado Church of Christ Game Day! So, sadly, I didn't have a chance. Can you tell how well I was doing by the look on my face? Good thing we weren't playing Poker - that's definitely NOT a Poker-face!

Many thanks to George and Twilla for a great evening - great food, great fun, great friends!

Capture 52 - Week 9 TEXTURE (substituted for PETS)

This week's assigned photo challenge is PETS. I don't have a pet, and I haven't been able to be around anyone else's pet lately. Since I missed the first few challenges of 2020, I decided to do a "make-up" photo this week. The theme for Week 6 was TEXTURE, so I'll substitute that one for PETS.

Capture 52 - Week 8 BUCKET LIST

Our assignment: Do something from your photography Bucket List, something you've always wanted to try. It could be a technique, a location, a style ... anything.

I've always wanted to try some "street photography," defined as a genre of photography that records everyday life in a public place. Usually it involves candid pictures of strangers. Here's my shot for this challenge.

Capture 52 - Week 7 LOVE

I'm starting to participate with a group of on-line photographers in a weekly challenge - Capture 52. I'm starting late, so it's already Week 7, and the theme for this week is "Love." Here is my entry. (Many thanks to my friend, Kay, for the gift of folded book art; and to Dan's cousins Rand and Jane for the Willow Tree figurine.)

I may go back and do some of the ones I missed, if I find the time.
